It is safe to say that at the age of 16 my writing skills will not be impeccable nor will they be perfect in any way, shape or form, but I am willing to give it a go.
My ambition in life is to work within the fashion industry, ideally as a designer, but the competition for this line of work is ever growing and I am just an average girl living in Cumbria, England, an uneventful place not know for much other than walking, hills (which they like to call mountains, but i don't believe them) and, well, that's pretty much it. It doesn't really seem the ideal place for high class fashion.
As well as my surroundings, at a passing glance, or even a lingering one, I do not look the part for a fashion designer, writer, photographer or model. I am 5'8", I am not fat but I am most definitely not thin. I don't bother much with my weight and I live in baggy jeans and worn tee shirts. I wear make-up, but never seem to get that air brushed finish magazines always promise when you buy this product or that one. All in all i would say I am pretty much a plain jane when it comes to looks.
On the contrary however, my mind makes up for beauty I do not physically posses, I image, I draw and I create. Well, the creating part isn't exactly up to scratch but it will hopefully, eventually be good enough to do my design's justice, and if not, maybe my designs will be good enough for someone else to make them.
What can I say, I'm a bit of a dreamer I suppose, I want to get all of these things out of life but the likelihood of any of it happening doesn't have such a great outlook. So my plan? I am going to share my thoughts, ideas and designs with you, the loving public. Hopefully I will start to get 'followers' who will comment, judge and give me honest opinions on my designs. Don't be scared to be mean, if you don't like something, please be honest, constructive criticism I will gratefully take into account.
Unfortunately I currently have no designs that can be posted, they're all sat in a book waiting to be scanned and posted here.
